Braze is joining Salesforce. Your roadmap doesnโt have to.
Salesforce’s planned acquisition of Braze raises important questions about their future. Explore what this means for your strategy, what questions to ask, and how Iterable gives you the flexibility to move forward on your terms.
What marketing teams are asking themselves.
Four questions to settle before you sign
Salesforceโs planned acquisition of Braze is pending approval, with close expected in its fiscal year 2028 (February 2027 to January 2028). It has not shared plans for Brazeโs roadmap, pricing or support. If you run marketing on Braze or Marketing Cloud, or are choosing between platforms now, these are the questions to put to your vendor.
These are fair questions for any vendor, including us. Iterable can run next to your current platform on one program, so you can compare results before you decide.
Roadmap
โWhich product are we actually building on?โ
Salesforce says Braze is expected to strengthen Marketing Cloud. It has not said whether the two will merge or run side by side. Ask for the answer in writing, and ask what you can walk away from if it changes.
Pricing and terms
โWhat happens to our renewal?โ
Ask what your contract says about a change of control and what price and packaging protections run through the next three years. If a bundle is on offer, ask what it covers, for how long, and what it costs at renewal.
People and Support
โWill we still have the team we rely on?โ
Ask who your success contact is today and what the plan is for that team after close. Get support commitments in writing.
Integration and Data
โWhat is on hold while this gets sorted out?โ
Integrations of this size take quarters to years. Ask how much of your next two quarters depends on features that are announced but not shipping. Ask for dates, a named owner, and what you get if they slip. Ask what your data terms say if the product moves into a larger data layer.
WHY ITERABLE, NOW
One roadmap. Built for your stack, not ours.
Customer engagement is all we build. Every release is decided by what our customers need, not by a parent companyโs integration plan or suite targets.
Connect directly to warehouses and CDPs through native connectors, flexible APIs, and webhooks, so Iterable fits seamlessly into your existing stack.
G2 reviewers rate Iterableโs support above Brazeโs. The team you start with is the team you keep, and they arenโt waiting on a reorg.
