What brings you joy in your role?

Knowing that not only is my work being seen and used by people in the real world, but it’s actually making a positive impact on their lives in some way.

 

What is a common misconception about your role?

A common misconception is that email is ineffective; however, #emailisnotdead and is often a strong conversion driver for many teams across all industries when used the right way.

 

What tips, tricks, or pieces of advice would give a new Iterable user?

The live support chat feature is a life saver. The team is responsive, helpful, and knowledgeable, I can’t imagine my day-to-day without them. I’ve chatted with a few so many times that I feel like we’re pen pals at this point.

 

What are some Iterable features that have made your job easier? Or have been game-changers for yourself and your team?

Send time optimization takes the guessing game out of my campaign setup, knowing that Iterable will deliver the email at the most optimal time for that particular user. Additionally, the entire experimentation feature streamlines the entire A/B testing process with its ease of use.

 

As a consumer, what brings you joy from a brand’s outreach/communication?

When it touches me personally and makes me think about more than just the product or service. There’s been ads where I find myself nodding in agreement, wondering what went into the production, and imagining the story it’s conveying to the audience.

 

What do you think will be the next big thing in the marketing industry (AI, automation, new channels?)

AI is definitely still in its infancy stage. I’m curious, excited, and kind of scared to see how it will continue to complement, change, and improve our ways of working, and ultimately our lives.

 

What’s the best advice you’ve ever been given?

Stay curious and ask questions. If you’re wondering about something, anything, there’s a high chance that somebody is wondering about the exact same thing. Speak up and stand out to encourage the next person to do the same.

 

If you weren’t a marketer, what would you be?

And if time and money weren’t an issue, I’d love to travel around the world and experience all the local foods and cultures.
