Interview

What brings you joy in your role?

What brings me joy in my role is the opportunity to be creative—whether it’s designing new emails, testing fresh strategies, or refining our approach. I love seeing how these efforts translate into real results, helping my team reach our goals and continuously improve our campaigns.

How do you stay inspired or motivated in your work?

I stay inspired and motivated by keeping an eye on what other companies are doing with their emails. I regularly check websites like Really Good Emails to see creative designs, engaging copy, and innovative strategies. Seeing how brands push the boundaries with email marketing helps spark new ideas and keeps me excited to experiment and improve our own campaigns.

What tips, tricks, or pieces of advice would give a new Iterable user?

A piece of advice I’d give to a new Iterable user is to dive in and start experimenting. Create a test campaign or journey and play around with the features because there is so much to explore and learn. With a test setup, you don’t have to worry about anything accidentally going out to your user base, so it is a great way to build confidence and discover what is possible.

What are some Iterable features that have made your job easier? Or have been game-changers for yourself and your team?

There are so many great features in Iterable that make my job easier, especially segmentation and the various filters that allow me to create highly targeted lists. These tools help ensure that emails are reaching the right audience at the right time, which is crucial for engagement.

One feature I really appreciate that doesn’t get talked about as much is Titlesets. Titlesets let me save specific parts of a journey and easily paste them into new or existing journeys, which has been a game-changer. Instead of rebuilding the same logic or flow from scratch each time, I can quickly reuse key components, making the process much more efficient. It has saved me so much time, especially when working on complex journeys that require multiple touchpoints and conditions. Having this feature makes scaling and optimizing campaigns so much smoother.

As a consumer, what brings you joy from a brand’s outreach/communication?

I love when brands take a fun and engaging approach rather than sticking to a traditional look. When a brand’s communication feels fresh, creative, and aesthetically pleasing, it grabs my attention and makes me more excited to engage. Whether it’s bold visuals, playful copy, or an unexpected twist, I appreciate when brands put effort into making their outreach feel unique and memorable.

What do you think will be the next big thing in the marketing industry (AI, automation, new channels?)

I think AI is going to be huge in marketing, transforming everything from personalization to automation. AI-powered tools can analyze data in real time, enabling hyper-personalized campaigns, smarter segmentation, and better engagement. Automation will also streamline workflows, reducing manual tasks like A/B testing and content creation. As AI advances, we’ll see more predictive customer journeys and adaptive marketing strategies, giving brands that embrace it a major advantage.

What is one goal you’d like to achieve in your lifetime?

One of my biggest goals in life is to travel to every continent or visit as many countries as possible! I love experiencing new cultures, seeing different parts of the world, and immersing myself in unique environments. There’s so much to learn from travel, and I want to take in as much of it as I can!

If you came with a warning label, what would it say? (ex: you’re a fast talker, you’re highly competitive, you talk about your dog a lot, etc.)

My warning label would say: “I will probably talk about my dog Stella and show you pictures, even if you don’t ask!”’ I adopted her at 3 months old over five years ago, and she’s been with me through everything, including a cross-country move. I’m completely obsessed with her, even if she’s constantly giving me side-eye.

How G2 Drives Engagement with AI-Powered Personalization at Scale

Objective

G2 aimed to elevate the effectiveness of its email marketing by creating a more personalized and engaging experience for each recipient. The goal was to leverage AI and dynamic content to deliver messages that felt tailor-made, ultimately improving campaign performance and deepening audience relationships.

Summary

To support G2’s personalization goals, a new Iterable campaign template was developed to deliver individualized messaging at scale. The approach utilized dynamic placeholders to inject user-specific content into every email, creating the impression of a one-to-one conversation. In collaboration with the marketing team, AI-generated copy was also introduced to further tailor the content to each recipient’s profile and behavior. This dual-layer of personalization—through both content and language—helped ensure relevance and resonance with every message sent.

Results

The campaign drove exceptional results for G2, with both open rates and click-through rates significantly surpassing benchmarks. The combination of dynamic content and AI-generated copy didn’t just boost engagement—it also fostered stronger, more meaningful connections with recipients, positioning G2 as a brand that truly understands and responds to its audience’s needs.

Bringing Personalization to Life Through Dynamic Email Templates

The image showcases a side-by-side view of the personalized email experience G2 created using Iterable. On the left, we see the underlying campaign template, which incorporates dynamic fields such as {{firstName}} and custom content blocks. These placeholders allow the message to be customized for each recipient. On the right, we see the final output as received by a user. The email copy is tailored to the recipient’s role, referencing relevant platforms the user has explored, like ActiveCampaign and HubSpot, and offering a targeted resource: G2’s market report on Marketing Automation. This visual illustrates how dynamic content and AI-generated language come together to deliver highly personalized, relevant experiences at scale.
