When and how did you get your start in marketing?

I started my marketing career at Microsoft Switzerland back in 2010.

 

What brings you joy in your role?

Working with my people, especially my team. Being able to improve and move things forward. I take joy in building up new capabilities within the team and our marketing stack.

 

How did COVID-19 change the way you work, what did you learn? How did you adapt?

Working remotely was something I easily adapted to, as it had been a common thing for me when working at Microsoft. What amazed me was that me and my Co-Lead were able to build such an incredible, well-functioning team almost fully remotely. We still enjoy working with each other now that we’ve returned to the office ;-).

 

What does customer experience mean to you and how does Iterable play a role?

Customer first (advocates marketing team), Iterable = enabler for MMs & PMs.

 

What challenges and/or problems was your team experiencing prior to Iterable? How does Iterable solve for these?

Transactional mails (in-house, no tracking, testing, updates only with Devs), A/B testing for transactional mails.

 

Besides Iterable, what are the other tools in your marketing toolkit that you can’t live without?

Our customer data platform Lytics (3 use cases).

 

What’s one thing that can instantly make your day better?

The sun. I love it when it’s sunny and warm. Snow is nice for Christmas and skiing but then I’m done with winter.

 

If you weren’t a marketer, what would you be?

100% Interior Designer or Architect. I love everything related to those two topics. Redecorating or realizing smaller building projects in our house is something I really enjoy and never get tired of.
