Interview

When and how did you get your start in marketing?

While I was in university I found myself working for a global energy drink company. This dropped me into a playpen with some of the most creative heads in the industry and gave me the confidence to be able to express my ideas and the satisfaction of seeing some of them come to fruition.

What brings you joy in your role?

Problem solving. How we’re able to build complex flows that can ultimately drive a business outcome. Where Iterable comes in is providing us with a tool that’s intuitive and flexible, thus allowing us to achieve a business outcome much more easily and with little time.

What led you to choose Iterable over others in the market?

Simply put, we needed a comprehensive tool that covered all our business needs at that point in time and continues to do so. One thing worth mentioning was also how intuitive the tool is to get us going (thus helping reduce the switching cost), and here, Iterable did put itself in the lead.

What does customer experience mean to you, and how does Iterable play a role?

Valuing the time of our users with ensuring they can use our products seamlessly. We have found solutions with flows that have saved steps for a user while reducing the tickets for our support team. And for similar ideas the tool helps from conceptualization to final product in no time.

As a consumer, what brings you joy from a brand’s outreach/communication?

As a consumer with multiple subscriptions to various products, I would like to see a brand that pays attention to my needs and communicates at the right time and place.

What would you like to see brands doing more of? Or less of?

More understanding from a users perspective and also crucially understanding user feedback which should then translate into initiatives that improve experience.

What’s the best advice you’ve ever been given?

Being comfortable about looking silly learning something new. It’s the only path to growth.

If you weren’t a marketer, what would you be?

Management consulting.
