I am an email marketing specialist with over 6 years of experience primarily in IT & tech, but also in ecommerce and beauty industries. I love everything about email marketing, from driving the strategy and building the email layout, to segmentation, AB testing, and results analysis. What truly excites me is diving into data and trends to drive engagement and growth – sometimes I can spend hours unraveling data, digging for insights that can make ordinary campaigns stand out.

I have a rescued (black) cat named Charlie and I love aaaaall the animals.

When and how did you get your start in marketing?

My marketing journey kicked off six years ago, when I realized my corporate job was lacking the creative spark I desired. After diving into online learning, watching tutorials about email marketing and taking online marketing classes, I landed a position as an Email Marketing Specialist at Veeam Software. This opportunity allowed me to merge my analytical skills with the creativity I had been missing in my previous role. I also freelanced in health and beauty, continuously learning and improving my skills. Now, I’m part of the awesome team at Namecheap, crafting marketing plans that blend data and creativity to increase brand engagement.

 

What brings you joy in your role?

It’s always the positive feedback from our customers – our emails usually include a survey at the bottom, that gives the customers the opportunity to rate it, and every time I read the positive feedback it’s really rewarding.

 

What tips, tricks, or pieces of advice would give a new Iterable user?

Organize your campaigns using naming conventions, label each of them so you could easier build reports to analyze results. Whenever you have a question on how to use a feature or how to manage existing ones, just use the articles from Iterable Support Center – they are always helpful. I would also recommend joining the Iterable Academy, where you can find many valuable resources.

 

What are some Iterable features that have made your job easier? Or have been game-changers for yourself and your team?

Iterable’s new AI features have been a game-changer for us, and we use them in almost all our big campaigns. Send Time Optimization (STO) feature, in particular, has consistently delivered great results. I have tested it myself multiple times, and it always ensures our emails reach the inbox at the optimal time. Brand Affinity is also a nice AI feature, which helps you segment your database, based on your users’ level of engagement with the brand. What I also like about Iterable – is that in the ‘experiments’ section, you can conduct A/B tests on a percentage of your database, and then send the winning version to the remaining segment.

 

What would you like to see brands doing more of? Or less of?

Less boring emails, and more targeted & captivating campaigns that can actually help nurture the relationship with the customers and encourage them to engage with the brand.

 

How do you stay up–to–date with the latest trends and developments in marketing?

I am subscribed to many marketing newsletters, and am part of Email Geeks. I like following communications from tech companies, and also find joy in learning something new by watching a tutorial, taking an online course, or participating in webinars or other marketing events. LinkedIN is a good way to keep in touch with marketing peers and discuss latest trends, as well.

 

What’s one thing that can instantly make your day better?

A good coffee and a loving ‘’meow’’ from my cat.

 

If you weren’t a marketer, what would you be?

I’d probably go back to acting or become a doctor/ researcher in the medical industry, as I have a little background in biology and am very passionate about diagnosis, in general.
