Interview

When and how did you get your start in marketing?

My first job after college was at a corporate wellness company in San Francisco. I juggled between operations and marketing initiatives and always gravitated more towards the marketing side of the house. When it was time for my next role, I knew I wanted to narrow in solely on marketing, which is just what I did when I started working at Fitbit.

 

What brings you joy in your role?

Personalizing messaging and user journeys for individual consumers and segments.

 

What tips, tricks, or pieces of advice would give a new Iterable user?

Participate in Iterable Academy and keep revisiting the content…it comes in very handy!

 

What challenges was your team experiencing prior to Iterable? How has Iterable helped address these challenges?

Our biggest challenge was easily personalizing our messaging for different segments vs. just sending out blast campaigns to all consumers. Iterable journey filtering, lists, custom events/properties etc. helps us segment, personalize and automate more than we ever could before!

 

What led you to choose Iterable over others in the market?

The multi-channel messaging mediums (email, push, in-app, sms, etc.) and personalization capabilities.

 

As a consumer, what brings you joy from a brand’s outreach/communication?

Hitting me with the right message at the right time that is clearly based on my personal behavior with that brand/product.
