Interview

When and how did you get your start in marketing?

I started in TV/FIlm production and moved into Marketing. It’s just as creative and I find I am very driven by data-related goals like SQLs, CPCs, and CTORs, so it is really perfect for me.

 

What brings you joy in your role?

I love when a campaign goes out and you start getting the results back. Always a super exciting day. I like seeing how my campaigns contribute to company revenue.

 

What challenges was your team experiencing before Iterable? How has Iterable helped address these challenges?

We were using an older product that hadn’t been updated well. It was hard to use. We had an agency supporting us because it was so difficult and time-consuming. With Iterable, we do all our email builds ourselves because it’s so quick and easy.

 

What led you to choose Iterable over others in the market?

Our B2C team was already using Iterable, so they brought us (the B2B team) on board. It’s great to be able to easily share assets between the teams.

 

As a consumer, what brings you joy from a brand’s outreach/communication?

I love clean, beautiful, uncluttered design. This will always catch my eye and get me to read into the communication.

 

Besides Iterable, what are the other tools in your marketing toolkit that you can’t live without?

We have a lot of different tools in our tech stack. My favorite is SFDC. The dashboards are crisp and clean and it’s easy to track against goals.

 

What’s the best advice you’ve ever been given?

A teacher told me this when I was learning film production: “When a major problem arises, the calmest person will be the one to solve it.” It’s so true and applies to any job. Take a deep breath, don’t panic, and approach with a problem-solving mindset and you will get through it!

 

What’s one thing that can instantly make your day better?

Coffee.
